Envelope Book *Flash Freebie*

Saturday, August 17, 2013
I know you have already heard about the Back-to-School sale at Teachers Pay Teachers.  I am so excited!!  I have been eagerly awaiting this sale for so long.  I have so many things I want to buy but I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting.  The waiting is almost over!

Now, for all you 3rd grade teachers out there who use the Journeys textbook for reading, I have something for you.  As I have been getting geared up for the new year and making plans, I decided to start the year off with a bang and make an envelope book.  This envelope book is to supplement A Fine, Fine School written by Sharon Creech.  I just love this story!

This envelope book covers the following skills:

story elements
vocabulary
character traits
character changes
summary
text-to-self connection

Each page will also fit into a composition book if you would rather add them to a reading journal instead of making an envelope book.  If you’re interested, hop on over to my TpT store and check it out.  It will be offered as a FLASH FREEBIE for a few short hours so HURRY!

Have a great weekend!

Another TpT Sale!

Monday, May 6, 2013
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!  In case you haven’t heard, Teachers Pay Teachers is having another one of their huge sales.  Be sure to drop by and visit your favorite sellers and stock up on goodies for your classroom.

The countdown to summer is on!  I have a few more things I need to cover with my class but I like to spend this time having the students practice their basic facts.  One of my class’s favorite games is BOOM!  Students take turns drawing fact cards. They get to keep the card if they know the correct answer. The winner is the person with the most cards when the BOOM! card is drawn. I store the game in a decorated Pringles can which the kids get excited over.

If you’re like me and you need some more games for practicing math facts, check out these BOOM! games that will be on sale in my TpT store May 7-8.

If you want to give it a try before you buy, the addition version is FREE!

I hope you’re having an awesome week!

I Love the Grinch!

Saturday, December 1, 2012
I love the Grinch. I really do. I mean, who doesn’t?  He’s green, fuzzy, and awfully cute.  I adore this little guy so much that I wear Grinch Tshirts to school.

This past week we made Grinch shrinky dink ornaments at school.  You can get more details on how I do this here.

I’ve even decorated my door Grinch style.  Please pardon the eyebrows, they still need some work!

I combined my love of foldables with my love of all things Grinchy and made a How the Grinch Stole Christmas lapbook.  My class will be spending next week reading this classic Dr. Seuss tale and reviewing a variety of reading skills.  If you’re interested in making Grinch lapbooks, you can get a free copy at my TpT store.

I’m thrilled ecstatic that this lapbook activity was included in the 2012 Winter Holiday Tips and Freebies ebook from TpT!!!

You can download a free copy of the 3rd-6th grade edition here.  There are more than 50 free holiday activities included in the book from some really great teachers.  Thank you Rachel Lynette for all the hard work you put into creating this ebook!
There are 4 editions to the Winter Holidays ebook.  Click on the pics below to see them all.

I hope you enjoy reading through these great ebooks. Have a great weekend!

The Countdown is On

Cyper Monday and TpT’s big sale is almost here.  I have my wish list and credit card ready.  If you’re like me, a TpT gift certificate would come in real handy.

I’m giving away a gift certificate to one lucky person.  For more details, check this post.

Good luck and happy shopping!

It's time for some shopping!

Friday, November 23, 2012

I love this time of year!  After spending time with family enjoying some amazing food, it's time for some serious shopping. If you're like me, you have a few things on your TpT wishlist.  Honestly, I have more than a few (77 to be exact) and it's time to take care of that. TpT is hosting a sale and many sellers are joining in on the fun (including me!). Be sure to drop by and start snagging some great products.  To sweeten the deal, I'm going to have a drawing for a $10 TpT giftcard.  Leave a comment below with your email address so that I can contact you if you're the lucky winner. You have until 5 pm Central time on Sunday to enter the drawing. At that time I'll use a random number generator to pick one lucky winner. How many items do you have on your TpT wishlist?  What's the best thing you've bought from TpT?

I'll race you to the checkout!!!

TpT B2S Sale!!

Thursday, August 9, 2012

It’s B2S time and to celebrate TpT is having a sale.  YAY – it’s the moment I’ve been waiting for!  As you can tell by looking at my wish list, I really could use this sale.

If you need some ideas on how to use your TpT promo code, consider getting Mandy’s Sweet as Pie idiom unit.  This unit is packed with idiom activities that your kids will enjoy.  I did a review on it here.

Or, check out the Magical Product Swap hosted by Jessica from Mrs. Stanford’s Class.  There are reviews for more than 100 different products.

Of course, I’d also appreciate it if you dropped by my store to see if there might be something you can use with your kiddos.  Right now most of my items are math related but I do plan to change that once school gets under way.

I will be gone on a mini vacay during the sale.  I set up my shop to have a 15% off sale without me and I’m really hoping it will work.  I’ll be without internet most of the trip but I’m hoping I’ll be back in time to buy a few goodies for myself!
Have a great weekend and happy shopping!  See you next week!
